Today’s Challenge

I choose to live by Paul’s vision and passion in 2 Corinthians 4:7, But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

So, why not take every challenge, obstacle, supposed interference, irritant, etc., and look at them as a challenge to show off God’s powerful ability to make life work according to His will rather than according to my will? I accept the challenge. Here’s how it goes:
Up at 5:50 am. Start morning routine. Can’t find the lemon squeezer thingamajig! Where did my wife put that dumb thing! Oops! I forgot my acceptance of God’s challenge. So, ok, God. You know where it is. Relax and wait for Him to help me find it. Oh, surprise, there it is; right in front of me. How confirming.

At Riverwinds by 7:50 am for morning exercise. Walk 1 mile briskly. Dottie is able to keep up. Great job my dear sweetheart. Now its time to remove my bottom sweats for a time on the stationary bike. Oh great! My leg zipper is caught in the material! I don’t need this right now! Oops I forgot my challenge again. How hard old habits die. So, carefully, trustingly, I maneuver the zipper and, you guessed it, fixed!!! How nice. How confirming.

We arrive home. Dottie dutifully backs into the driveway but not as smoothly and as quickly as I would like. Sorry about that Sweetheart. Relax. A little more time will only add a whole ten seconds, at most, to your daily schedule. The irritation is not worth it. Irritation produces the possibility of inflammation in the body which is a ripe environment for the possibility of cancer. It would appear that allowing the all-surpassing power of God to be displayed in my life has multiple benefits.

I accept the challenge.

Second challenge of the day is working through the 147 page document sent from Dr. Wallace’s office in addition to the 12 pages of research references. I am sorting through the details of protocols for inflammation, immune boosting, cytostasis, differentiation, building blocks for healthy cells, apoptosis, specified blood tests, food protocols, supplements, etc. Anyone interested in research?

Excuse me, I need to get back to my Brussel sprouts and mayo/tumeric dip.

Joel,
I was just able to enter your blog tonight and read about the news you received on Wednesday. Will be praying even more in these days as you adjust to this news and see what the doctors say. We feel for you and Dottie, but know that God is still good. Our love and prayers from far away for both of you. Bob and Lidia J.

Hi Joel and Dottie:

I'm sorry Joel, but today's made me laugh! So, typical of us all.
I tried to picture you in those challenging moments and I had a little giggle. And, all that by
9:36?! Wow. We continue to pray for all of you.
