“All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need.” Acts 4:32-35 (NIV)
Hey there. This is Kristin taking a moment to slip in a post on my dad’s blog. As most of you know my dad lost his position as senior pastor of SWBC on June 30, 2009. At present my parents have no regular source of income to depend on, despite medical expenses of thousands of dollars each month. Of course my parents trust wholeheartedly that if God has promised to take care of the birds of the air and lilies of the field He will certainly provide for them. Some special friends in New Jersey have thought of a practical way for that to happen in providing an opportunity for friends and family to come along side my parents during this time. They have graciously offered to do a non-event fundraiser for them. They will be sending out “invitations” in the mail to this fundraiser. If you would like to be included in this list to receive an invitation, please e-mail your name and address to: macdonald.fundraiser@gmail.com.
I know everyone who reads this blogs cares deeply for my parents and many of you have already supported and encouraged them in this trying journey. Thanks a million times over for your prayers and support.
