MRI Results

Today at 10:30 am, we met with Dr. Andrews' nurse practitioner who reviewed my Tuesday MRI. The tumor has regrown in the same area and about the same size as my April 14 surgery. On their recommendation, we will meet with an oncologist and radiologist next Tuesday, May 26. That is also my neurosurgeon's recommendation. We are waiting for input from our other medical advisers, but unless something changes we are probably looking at trying to see what chemo and radiation can do along with everything else we are doing. Hopefully my good health and the other things we are doing will help with the chemo and radiation. The bottom line is our trust in God's goodness and His sovereign oversight of all that is happening. I confess that my tiredness makes it a challenge. Pray for endurance and strength for both of us during this challenging time.

I'm asking God to give you and your healthcare team wisdom as you work together to craft the next phase of treatment. And I'm asking Him to comfort you and carry you through discouragement and weariness.

I know it's so hard to keep coming upon one steep hill after another at every turn in the road. There's a purpose in this. Maybe only God knows what it is at this point. I sure don't. But I know that He is holding tight to you, and that we are with you.

Praying for God's wisdom because there is none better than His. Also that His loving arms are wrapped tight around all of you. Find comfort and strength in ALL He has to give. Which thankfully, His goodness is endless. He always has a plan.

As you go through this next hurdle, may you rest in the palm of God's hand...where He will never let you go.

Praying for you, brother, and for your family!

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take."

Matthew 6:33 (NLT) - "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need."

Hang in there Pastor and Dottie,

Although the chemo has side effects (which I am sure are much less than years ago when I had it), I am glad you are trying this route now. It worked for me. :-)

You and Dottie (and the family) are in my prayers for strenth for the uphill and downhill ride you are on.

God is good and gracious - you are in good hands.

Love and prayers, Coll
