End of a wonderful ride

The elders at Southood recommended and the congregation confirmed by vote on Wednesday night, May 27 that my position as senior pastor of Southwood will come to an end, June 30, 2009. It has been almost 22 years since we came to New Jersey from Oregon, September of 1987. It has been a memorable, life changing, and relationship-bonding time. Departure will be hard because relationships run deep. We will continue to enjoy closure with the Southwood congregation. Our house is about to go on the market as we wait for God’s next leading. Stay tuned.

We have a yard sale scheduled for this Saturday, June 6, 8am-12noon. (68 Holly Drive, West Deptford) Come and make our stuff your stuff. For my blog readers thousands of miles away, I am sorry that I can't provide airfare.

Joel, my heart goes out to you. I can't imagine how hard this must be. Just recently the Lord closed the door for a Bible study I have been leading for the past 5 years. I know that I would have kept on leading it into eternity if that were possible, but He closed the door. I grieved that loss, but now I have peace. Five years leading a Bible study can't begin to compare with 22 years shepherding Southwood. Thank you, dear brother, for your faithfulness and ministry to us and so many others. You are in our prayers.
In Christ's Unfathomable love,
Debbie

Joel,
You may not remember me from my time as a MACBA pastor, I've been serving as a missionary with WorldVenture since 1997 in Brazil. I just wanted to let you know that I am praying that our ever present King work in a powerful way in and through you. God bless you brother,
Steve Nash
