Changes and more changes

Dottie and I have been reflecting on the monumental and myriad of changes that we have faced, continue to face and will face over the next year or so for us as a couple and for us as a family. We are extremely grateful that God is an anchor point in the midst of all of these changes. One way to keep Him anchored is by reflecting each day on areas of gratefulness. This has been a good along with our anchor verse, Romans 15:13, and the definition of faith
Romans 15:13, May the God of hope fill you with great joy as you trust in Him, so that hope may overflow by the power of the Holy Spirit. Notice that hope is in infused by osmosis. There is both a human responsibility component ("as you trust in Him") and a divine component ("by the power of the Holy Spirit"). It is comforting and energizing toknow we are not left alone in this process.

A hint for your own application would be to write out your own anchor verse on a 3 x 5 card along with the following faith definition to keep you focused each day and throughout the day.

Faith is my choice to make what God has revealed in His Word, my truth and reality in spite of my feelings, circumstances, or cultural influences.
Ask this question, "What would happen if I truly made this anchor verse my truth and reality for living today?" Try it.
