Challenging Days

The challenges do not go away. The last few days have had challenges of headaches, tiredness, leg weakness, and nausia. We saw an endoctrinologist last week who recommended a lower dose of steroid (decadron). He believes I should be down to 1mg so I am on a phased decline.

I did attend church last Sun. But sat in the narthex, was able to share in the Lord’s Table and hear the message. But I tried to walk down the hallway to leave, my legs weakened. Thanks to some helpful men (humbling experience, thanks to John, Steve, David, Frank and others), they were able to get me to a wheelchair and across the parking lot to the apartment. Despite my objections, they wouldn’t let me negotiate the stairs to the apartment alone; again, humbling.

Yesterday and last night was especially tough, with a headache and difficulty walking, and very tired. I also experienced nausia. I certainly have increased sympathy with those going through similar circumstances.

(2 Cor 1:1-5) Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, To the church of God in Corinth, together with all the saints throughout Achaia: {2} Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. {3} Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, {4} who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. {5} For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.

As soon as I can generate enough energy I plan to add some more on temptation to my Pastor Blog.
